The block and caps need to be lined honed if the crank won't spin with the caps installed.

i wonder if you have something between the bearing and block or cap.

I sure love when people feel the need to repeat what's already been said.

I've seen one incorrect bearing in a set (+.010 oversized). It happens. Just because you take them out of the same boxes, doesn't mean the are right. Put a micrometer on each of them for thickness.

No fair.
I said "move bearings around" yesterday.

I keep coming back to this:

Until the question about why the crank doesn't spin with the old bearing is answered, the new bearings belong on the shelf.

Question for Skywalker: is the crank damaged? IOW, if you were to take it to a machine shop and have them spin it with a dial indicator on all the mains, what would the runout be?

Well I figured it out. It was just that one set of caps were mixed up, I must have mixed them up when I took it apart. That's why I prefer doing my engine builds in a short period, usually one or two days so my memory is fresh off what I did. Thanks for the help guys
