Dyno tuning, how much time is needed?
^Could be generous... but gains are gains.
I'm planning on taking a short week or two prior to installing the turbo on my impending '99 to do it up NA. ECU, injectors, exhintake, ACG's, intake, fluids, COP's, gutted IM, and a few other goodies... see if 150whp on a Dynojet is in the cards on 91octane.

Generous dyno or not, it does feel way faster than before. It's DIN corrected wheel horse power. I'll look up the correction factor somewhere. Got the raw dyno files somewhere too. Will post them soon for the non-believers
Amazed what a little timing can do... congrats!
When are you going back? I need mine retuned to see if there 's more to be had. Maybe we can go together.
How did they detect knock? Det cans? Ear? KnockSense?

I'll go back as soon as budget allows it. Need to get my adjustable camgears installed and hopefully break into the 150's rwhp-wise...
We tuned for knock by adding timing at full load at around 7k rpm by ear. I adjusted the Knocksense so it would go off at that moment. We then pulled about 2 degrees of timing in that area to add some safety margin. Right at the verge of knock torque went up with about 6 NM, so there's definately more power to be had if no knocking occurs.
