I'm rocking the same PP and a 6-puck disc without any trouble. However I'd rather get the ZM1-XTMM or FM-II |
i have an ACT HD pressure plate and a spec stage 3+ full faced carbon/metallic disc that i should probably get out of my garage, considering it wont work with my toyota gearbox :P. it is 1.8 size.
the disc wore a pretty good groove in the pressure plate (i did overheat it once) so they are kind of a matched pair at this point. never had an issue with slippage before or after overheating it. when it overheated i was basically hotlapping at the dragstrip, doing 2nd gear burnouts on 225/50 drag radials and 7000 rpm clutch-dump launches. the disc alone was almost $300 when i bought it new 3k miles ago. theres about 20k on the pressure plate (used it w/ an organic disc until i got the spec disc) make an offer? |
I like my Xtreme.
I don't know what I'm making...but it does feel faster in the colder (artic) weather, and having noticed any slip or change in engagement etc. |
The clutch and flywheel Ben is talking about are mine. I took them off the car thinking the clutch had come apart but it ended up being something internal on the transmission.
I went ahead and replaced the parts since I had the tranny off. There was definitely not any slippage with this setup. Pedal feel isn't much more than stock. The biggest difference is how hard it grabs when it does. Considering it was an 8.3lb flywheel and a high torque clutch on a hotside supercharged setup it really wasn't that bad. |
