Fuel injector pigtail mounting
I am installing a set of DW fuel injectors in a 2001 Miata, and they come with a pigtail adapter for each injector, to connect to the stock harness.
Any advice on how to package the wiring assembly back up? They add a lot of bulk to the very compact design Mazda used, with that hard plastic casing for the injector wiring.
Will the extra wire and connector just hang below? Or do you take apart the plastic case and make something yourself, with the wiring sitting above? I am not sure how to make this all neat and tidy. I am reluctant to cut up the harness and splice the new connectors in, it seems like a recipe for creating future failure points.

I'm not a fan of using the pigtail adapters. You have less failure points cutting the connector off and crimping the EV14 connector on.

Just make sure the wiring can't be caught between the intake manifold and the block. I've had a pigtail wiring melt, cause a short, and actually burn up my harness.
Ended up buying a separate oem harness and splicing the ev14 connector to eliminate the pigtails altogether. I de-pinned (ok someone helped cuz de-pinning is not my strong suit) my pigtails for the connectors so you don't have to spend more $$
