I will definitely do so when I get the chance. Everything I've seen shows advancing will improve torque in the midrange up to peak, and that retarding gives more top end.

I'm not looking for more midrange torque myself, but will run 2 degree increments in each direction in the name of science.

Yes...yes I did. I read the whole damned thing.

I'm going to stop ******* around and get a full 3" stainless setup from sprayed with Stein's favorite Magnaflow.

Tired of halfassing my setup, and this means I'm set regardless of future upgrades.

I was afraid of that...which was why I changed the name of the thread.

I still don't want too much more power, but will surely take it.

I finally figured out a good way to descirbe how I feel about the powerband.

It's like the newer B15 SE-R Sentras compared to the old B13 SR20 cars. The N/A 1.6L is very similar to the B13s rev-happy powerband.

I feel like I'm in one of the new jellybeans now...I've got more power, but it's a completely different character, and I might as well reset redline to 6K rpm like the 2.5L B15 motor compared to the 7K rpm of the SR20.

I hope I'm making sense.

I also know that upgrading my compressor means I'm about to upgrade everything...intercooler...rear end...tranny...later a built 1.8L.

I would prefer to tailor what I've got a little...and when I graduate I'll start over with everything I've learned from hustler's and rharris's builds. I only want to re-do it completely once...and I'll do it right.
