PS: for what its worth, we could not get GM coils to not blow out past 21psi on Ryans beast. No matter what we did. Maybe he wired wem wrong or something, but he went through 2 sets and like 3 or 4 wiring harnesses and still no bueno past 21psi

That's funny, since I've run Toyota coils at that boost level with no issues and GM LS2T coils are way more powerful. We ran a set of LS coils at .070" plug gaps until the plugs gave up ~500 miles later.

did you guys have overboost turned on at 21psi or something?

I hope this clears the air about them being PNP for the 01+ cars.

The new MSM version on the left, and the previous (all other applications) on the right.

The standard coils we were shipping fit perfectly in the 01+ VVT cars but the feedback was that due to the powder coating on the MSM cars the fitment was a bit too firm.

Since then we've made a revision and offered to upgrade anyone who had already purchased the previous "firm fitting" version.

I have no idea. Like I said, maybe all the harnesses or sets of cops were defective, but the 2nd set he ran authentic ones not some knockoff or anything, with proper magnecor wires and everything.

I know most have good results with them just sharing my feedback.

Well I think your problem is you were using the wrong coils. GM cops are ok, but the LS coils (cnps) are significantly better.

They were the LS coils, the hottest ones that everyone here nuts about.

anyways back on topic:

FAB9 is now a supporting vendor, that's cool

On topic is good, my apologies for my part in the drift, thread cleanup was warranted. Glad to see things worked out with the Authorized Vendor thing.

I've actually got a set of these but opted to do my own harness so they are not installed yet, so I do have a horse in this race. Bryan and I traded about 40 emails about these and hunting down the connectors so I've been impressed thus far. If I can dig up some TXL I'll be installing these over the weekend.

Nope, they have a slip fit, exactly like they would on a bike. Or even how your factory plug wires may fit. You can feel them "click" into place when they're seated all the way.
