LFX and SPEC flywheel/clutches
Hey all,
I've working on an LFX RX-8 swap track car project using Keisler's kit. I currently have a new Cadillac MV7 transmission on order and am hoping to use it due to the better, more even, gear ratios.
I have these Spec parts, originally purchased when I was going to use a Camaro MV5 transmission:
SC361R-2-H which is a Stage 1 rigid disc with extra clamping force
SC36A-2 flywheel
After deciding on the MV7, I asked about swapping parts and they said that despite the MV7 having a different flywheel PN, SC36A-3, they are physically identical per their drawings and they only have different PNs because early on they assumed they might be different. I'll continue to investigate this.
In reading through several LFX swap threads on here, I see there have been some not-great experiences with these parts, however, a few have had success. Can anyone provide their experiences and advice?
Thanks,
Dan
