Locost with VVT EFR and MS3x
Here are couple of photos of my Locost 7. Planning to run couple of track days and hillclimbs this year with it.

I bet it rips.
What's up with the wastegate? Infinite boost? |
On my quest to make EFR work as well as the previous Garrett, I used external wastegate which is below the header. That way I can put the boost pressure on both sides of diaphragm, and control boost by bleeding the pressure from top out.
Wastegate dumps into separate exhaust. |
Im going to hazard a guess that its not slow, especially with those hoosiers...
|
No need for an EWG to make the EFR work. Turbosmart makes an EFR-specific twin-port actuator, and the standard wastegate will always flow better than an EWG tacked onto the side of the manifold.

I think this is the car that Ben said spooled slower and made less power than a 2560?

Are the pics deceptive or does it have about half an inch of IM runner length?
|
Short but not quite half an inch.
The intake manifold is exactly this one. https://www.miataturbo.net/general-m...anifold-41495/ |
