Oh, so many questions. First - are you taking it off the street, or do you have a method to deal with inspections?

Scrappy Jack 04-19-2013 02:49 PM

JKav - Two points of feedback:

1. Love the build.
2. Hate the new Edmunds. Old InsideLine was way better, even just visually.

That manifold looks strangely familiar. I like the waste gate placement a bit better then mine I think.

TurboTim 04-20-2013 10:14 AM

There was plenty if room for the wastegate in the back Lars, but you wanted equal length runners ;)

18psi 04-21-2013 04:30 PM

oh snap, TIMMAH still building manifolds?

TurboTim 04-21-2013 08:30 PM

Nope that's not my manifold.

Yeah, I miss the look and feel of the old IL layout too. But such decisions are above my pay grade...

On a roll this week. BHJ Dynamics crank / harmonic damper with 36-1 trigger wheel.

Nice piece. This particular one shown is a prototype; the production versions have an aluminum hub and some cosmetic differences.

That looks suspciously exactly like the 949 damper. I think we found his supplier. I have no complaints with mine. Kind of wish I knew about their super duper light weight looking one that costs like $200 more than I paid for mine.

18psi 04-26-2013 02:01 PM

was about to say the same thing :giggle:

uhm,
it was known from the beginning that 949 damper is made from BHJ Dynamics.

JKav 04-26-2013 02:05 PM

Yup. From 949's website:

"The SuperMiata harmonic damper is designed and manufactured for us by BHJ Dynamics here in California."
