Default mazdaspeed engine sensor question

compared to a 97 1.8, what is interchangeable?

can the sensors from a 97 engine swap to the mazdaspeed engine or not?

Mechanically or electrically?

From an electrical standpoint, very little. The NBs in general used different sensors than the NA. In particular, the crank and cam sensors are totally different, the CLT sensor is different, I'm pretty sure the IAT and MAF sensors are different, etc. The oil pressure switch is compatible, and the O2 sensors should be as well.

However, you can transplant most of the sensors from the '97 engine onto the NB engine. The CAS at the back of the head will need to move for sure (assuming you're using an ECU configured for NA operation), and you'll have to find a way to put both of the '97s CLT sensors into the one hole on the NB engine if you want both the dash gauge and the ECU reading to work.
