Default Meth and low Octane?

Forgive the stupid question.

I have a begi kit (FMU& AFM). I am running about 8 psi, no intercooler but have a MSD timing retard box and run 91 octane. All is well. I have the high pressure pump, in boost, running 11 A/F.

I am installing water/meth for the Tucson Summer heat. I removed the kit from my other car.

Once installed, ya think going a bit more boost or dropping octane to mid or low grade would be possible?

Just wondering what people think or have tried.

No. Don't drop octane.

More boost and timing is fine. You want the fueling combo to be as det resistant as possible. That is why max octane. Pay the extra $3.

You have 4psi to go before you break rods

I probably wont go past 10psi and wont remove the retard box.

Thanks for the input.

Are you really willing to risk motor safety and performance to save $2/tank on fuel?
