One detail I do like is how they made the PPF brace adapter for the transmission. Something like that would be nice for the Getrag boxes.

And the people writing the article were pretty clear the engine sucks and they didn't understand the swap. That's MOTORTREND not being diplomatic and saying it is a foolish idea, which doesn't happen often. |

I saw that article yesterday and showed that to a coworker who is a adamant subaru guy and he shrugged it off as dumb unless you could do AWD.
The one good thing I did see is the swap kit runs $900 and the motors should be able to be found for cheaps. |
Yeah 900 to literally just mount the motor and trans. So basically a little less than it costs to mount an LS. The mounting and engine are never the expensive or hard part of a swap. I'd honestly rather have a BP, and that's saying something lolol

I really love subies.. but this is just terrible. Literally the worst thing about the BRZ/FRS is the motor..

And the motor in those is lightyears ahead of the EJ251, not even a comparo.
