Default Misc parts for 1.6 build?

I'm building the 1.6 because I have one (about 30K on it). But I want to collect all my parts before I start, even little stuff. So far, I have:

9.1 Weisco pistons/rings
Rods
Arp head studs
cometica head gasket
timing belt/water pump (once I find them in the garage)

What else do I need for a reliable build? Should I take the head apart and replace my noisy HLA's?

Thanks. The parts are piling up, its a shame to hide them in an engine. A clear block would be cool.

Yeah, my new-found superstition is leading me to tell you to erase this post and forget you ever uttered such words.
