Default motor parts selection help me

So ive been doing research on what pistons and connecting rods im going to run in my new 1997 motor that im building to be boosted...

Would you run
supertech pistons 8.6:1 84mm bore and scat forged rods rated at 500hp (apparently... on the 949racing website)
or
wiseco pistons 8.5:1 84.5mm bore and eagle rods

ive heard decent things about both set ups and im looking for a power goal of a 265hp is possible...

also ive heard when you send your block out to be machined and balanced they will need pistons rods block and crank which is fine but I also heard they would need flywheel is this correct?

265hp, do that on stock internals. :P

My setup is Wiseco overbore 8.5:1/Eagle.
Either setup is fine for 265hp though.

I would have done it on stock internals if the lifters weren't fucked and cylinder 1and2 weren't full of oil... also I plan to build it just because that's what I like to do and ive got the extra motor so im taking my time to do it right.. this is my first 4cyl motor as ive build many 383 and 350 and many other v8s over the years... having 4 less cylinders and a computer to help me get the number im after is a whole new ball game for me

Don't worry. I'm the same this is my first 4cyl too. I'm a v8 guy myself.

It's just like any other motor build though, Don't cut corners.

Wow, you know you are the first one to ever ask this question. This has never ever been covered on this site, you DEFINITELY won't find the answer to this question if you search.
