My compression numbers

Default My compression numbers

I finally got around to checking them, but they are all a bit "low" for a freshly rebuilt engine w/ ~8000 miles. I was expecting to see at least upper 180's. I'm assuming it was my crosshatching skills (or lack of) that caused them to all be a bit low. At least they are all even at 180 +/- 3psi. It could also be my piece of **** tester. How do you even tighten up the damn thing to the spark plug holes? I just tighten it by twisting the hose as much as I can without kinking it.

Its just sort of a let down since my old numbers, at least 1 and 4 were around 185, and that was at 110k miles. I guess 180 is still good, especially since they are all even. I think I had a question originally to go with this thread, but now I forget what I was going to ask...
