sokool, it is on its way now, I think LOL

Anyway, I have zero pics of the engine in the car. I will have some by Thursday, or maybe Millennium has some.I know he does.

Pics wont do it justice though. Just looks like an engine in the car.

So much has never been done. A lot of theory had to be put in place. The engine is just bad ***. 100mm stroke stock. It just has great potential.

I cant wait to make it a 2.7 or 2.8

But tuning it, getting a timing set up to work, oil pan is gnarly, custom ACT clutch set up. I now have my own part number LOL

Adapting tranny, braces, just a big project.

I am curious what the oil pan looks like. Last I checked the MZR was too tall. I bet that was a pain in the ***.

This is a swap I always wanted to do. People thought I was crazy for suggesting it.

Curious to see how he dealt with the intake and exhaust being flipped. If it required any tunnel mods to get a decent exhaust to fit.

Built LS1's are a dime a dozen compared to the MZR swap.

something about the front subframe mods required for an LS1 didn't fit within Formula D's ruleset when this swap was planned is my best guess.

Yah and also for many dimes OP could have 1000hp as opposed to 600.

That said yes I do not have 600 proven hp so I am just hypothetical internetwbebiings.

As far as I know Danny George has an LS and competes in Formula D... I think Jeff is just for of a purest as compared to the "let's just throw a v8 into it" mentality the sport has grown to be these days. It's sickening really.

I know ---- all about drifting rules, but for SSM you can put any motor made by the same manufacturer as the car, so V8's are out (not that the OP cares about SSM rules)

Not what I was saying. I'm refering the the sport of drifting and it roots in Japan. I could care less if if not a stock miata. This ain't miata.net! Go look at any car in D1GP and tell me they have LS swaps.

I just bought a 1.4L skyactive. Can't wait to race it.

What's really sickening, is that you consider Formula D "sport"

Everyone has their opinion. I enjoy watching drivers who drive a car that is essentialy out of control. I also help to run local events and have crewed for a few teams. Why? Because I like cars, and enjoy being around them and working on them. I myself enjoy driving cars how they were intended. I am an avad autoxer and am currently rebiulding my miata to be more reliable for the step up to real track events.

I'm excited for Jeff and can't wait to see it in person. Having owned two cars with MZR motors, and worked on countless others, I know their potential and love to see that someone finaly stuffed one into an NB.

I think part of his point is that it's almost becoming a spec-engine series with every chassis using an LS# engine. While that might make perfect sense, it is sometimes less exciting.
