Lots of people here are running them. Do a search for chineese or ebay rods. You will have to have the small ends honed out to fit your wrist pins and balance them, that will cost less than $100.

I did not have to hone mine. It's a gamble.

My eBay rods with arp bolts bolted up perfectly. I didn't balance or weight a single part and the motor feels smooth and revs to redline with no abnormal vibration.

When you guys say eBay or Chinese rods. Are you talking Manley or I saw cx racing and a few others now make rods for $200.

I'm struggling with the thought of cheap rods on a $5k motor

EBay rods means $200 china no name brand rods.

the fact that you buy Manley rods on eBay doesn't make Manley eBay rods.

if you are building a $5k motor, then use name brand rods.

OK - slight update to this thread..

3.6 Torsen is in and fitted, as are the 620cc EV14 injectors. DW200 is purchased and will be fitted soon. MSLabs MS3 basic also purchased but not yet fitted.

As the potential max power for this build has changed from whatever a 0.64A/R GT28RS can push out to whatever a GTX2860RS can push out (or more realistically, the power level a 6 speed box can take!), is there anything else I should look to upgrading - would something like an ATI harmonic dampener a necessity or a must have (I already have the boundary oil pump gears)? I may do some HPDE type track days, but it's mainly road use, not a full on track only beast...
