Default p0704 clutch switch input circuit malfunction

I have had this code for about 2 years. i had it looked at and some shop said i needed a new clutch and the problem would go away.

i did need a new clutch but went to a friend and had him install a FM stage 1.

problem is still there and i knew it wasnt because i needed a new clutch. i did notice that when i unplug the cruise control from where it connects on the clutch pedal and stick a metal clip to complete the circuit, car idles just fine but it pops that code.

when its plugged in the way it should be, code comes and goes every few days and my idle jumps from 1k to 2k up and down. clutch gets pushed in and car idles just fine. doesnt always jump around but it happens few times a day.

i replaced the natural clutch switch and the cruise switch that connects to the clutch pedal.

im guessing vac line?

i added a pic of what i found to be the problem in red. i took if off where it is mounted so the plunger is always out. that has fixed my problem for now but i have no cruise control anymore.
