Default Planing for build, need advice

So i am in the process of purchasing a 90 rolling chassis and a dissasembled 1.8 out of a 94. the body is suprisingly solid for an ohio car minimal rocker rust, so paint and a bit of work on that will sufice. The car is going to be mostly street, a few track events here and there, and some strip time.

The engine is alread dissasembled and awaiting machining. I want a higer horsepower motor, i want to be able to take my buddy in his new 5.0 stang.
Pickup a vvt head
Oversized valves?
Head studs
Solid Lifters (do these work with factory cams?)
Upgraded oil pump
Good Bearings
Intake Manifold ( are the modded honda manifolds good for this application?)
Big Injectors
Fuel Pump
are the turbo II trans adapters on the market yet?
Artech Manifold/DP V-band
would going bigger than the gt 2871r do me any good?
