PN for block to VVT oil feed banjo bolt & gaskets?
2 Attachment(s)
Ok, so I've finally everything together to get my VVT head project in gear
So I'm doing inventory on my parts, cleaning everything, checking replacement o-rings, etc and I realize something is missing... THIS FRICKIN BOLT :vash: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1362968441 I'm guessing this is the banjo type bolt that screws into the block and provides oil pass through for the VVT system. I'm also guessing this is threaded for that miserable 1/8" BSPT female hole in my block, thus making it nearly impossible to locate outside of Mazda. Arlington/Rosenthal does not show it on their site as far as I can tell, so I'm kinda stuck. Also, are the copper gaskets in the above image the same? (ZL09-10-333) Alternately, if someone has one still bolted to an explodificated engine, id be happy to purchase it from you. Thanks all |
Block banjo bolt (small): 9YA3-51-001C
Block banjo bolt washers x2: 9956-21-000 Upper banjo bolt (big): 9YA3-41-601 Upper banjo bolt washers x2: ZL09-10-333 Thanks for helping out at T25 :makeout: |
KICK ASS! Thanks tons Andrew! I was glad to help at the T25, hopefully I can come back this year and wrench on something other than Emilio's truck :loser: I also need to call you about a shortblock one of these days, but all in due time.
Rosenthal lists the block banjo washers, but not the bolt. With the PN, the googlemachine has provided many sources. I need to get off my ass and sign up with Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development, I'm guessing that's where you found the PNs so quickly? |
Yep, got the numbers from the fiches on the Comp website.

Anyone know what the thread size on the banjo bolt that goes to the valve cover is? It also happens to be the same as the 1.6 thermofan switch.
|
The one directly below the "10-333" in yellow on the above image?
I can get you micrometer accurate external dimensions on it, but I don't have a metric thread pitch gauge nor do I have a thread mic anymore. |
Yes, that one. I can just throw the calipers on it/bring it to the hardware store. I was just hoping someone knew.
|
Anyone have the part number for the actual banjo fitting and its associated hardware?
|
You mean the oil feed line that runs under the intake manifold?
|
Yup, that one!
|
BP6D-14-280A, ~$65
|
Awesome. Any other hardware needed to bolt it to the block, or is one end threaded?

I think I actually have an extra one of these. This one or the top one. If you are interested, I can get you a pic tonight.

Thread necro. But I kept running into this thread while searching, so hopefully this helps someone out in the future.
The banjo bolt is M16x1.5. |
I was close!
|
I opened this thread super excited thinking G was swapping his balleur CNC 4w head for a balleur CNC 6d
|
That will never happen. You personally ruined VVT for me.
