For the record there's nothing wrong with the slippery slope. That's how some of the greatest builds on here got started. Its just that most on here are either cheap or broke, so you really have to decide what kind of build your wallet can handle

My biggest mistake was not building the motor I wanted right off the bat. With the time and money I spent upgrading over and over, I could have built the motor I wanted anyway. Just some Food for thought.

Keep an eye out for a used short block. Sometimes there are some great motors that come up for sale here.

Seriously though, there's nothing wrong with building for a lot of power headroom.

Worst case is that you have to re-buy a turbo, but the turbo is one of the cheaper overall parts of a build. Speaking of which, having driven one, I recommend EFR.

I am impressed with the efr's data and Trackspeeds words on them but aaronc7 or someone else needs to give us gtx dyno!
