Default Shim Install

Hi Guys,

I'm installing a shim to increase the warm oil pressure. I have a question about the install;

1) Do i keep the stock spacer and install them both?

OR

2) Do I replace the sock spacer and just use the shim?

Thanks!

AFAIK that mechanism is only there to determine the maximum oil pressure for the system. It won't do a damn thing for warm oil pressure.

Pressure is due to volume viscosity restriction.

Gear size, viscosity and clearances determine (hot) pressure not the bypass preload.
