I called Arias/CP to get an update, got the rep on the phone. He said he got the email and hadnt decided what they would do yet. He then laughed at me for assuming they sent the right rings. Belittled me for awhile before I asked to speak to someone else who might be able to help intead of laughing at me and asked how his bosses would think about his attitude. Ya ok, I should have measured although Ive never needed to before. And they should have sent the right ******* rings. So lets fix this and move on for **** sake. ******* aweful customer service, i was so choked up I couldnt even breathe during the call. At this point i would be happy just to buy rings and never talk to that dude again.

I was at a loss to be honest. He never once even apologized for sending the wrong rings. I would order the rings elsewhere but that size only seems to exist in the arias catalog. I wonder if they are even making them anymore since CP aquired Arias. Anyway, I am going to call back and try to go higher up than him.

Edit:. I called and talked to the reps supervisor, he was really understanding and glad to get my feedback. They are rushing me a set of rings. So I guess in the end my problem is with that reps poor customer service, Arias/CP are stepping up to help me out.

Got new rings and engine back in today. Wow what a difference with the new rings. Car feels totally different, no more smoke at all at any rpm or load. Had to add a lot of fuel to the tune

Just found this thread, ******* awesome to go from beginning to end and find the positve outcome!!

Kudos to you for sticking through it. I hate these nightmare problems, especially the ones you never really find out what the cause was. Great you know for certain now.

Thanks! It was an emotional roller coaster haha. I was second guessing everything I did, my machinist friend was starting to second guess everything he did too. More than a few times I said **** it, I'm done, I'm just parking the car for the foreseeable future and then after a few hours or a day later I would come back to it determined to figure it out.
