Default Still non-turbo: Oil Consumption/High Sustained Oil Temps after Track Day

Well, I done and did it. Finally got on a track for the first time at Englishtown, NJ for their bumpy *** track, but it was cheap so why not. I think the car got 6 or 7 runs and the last two I was keeping an eye on my oil temp gauge (sensor located in sump). I was pushing the car pretty hard, saw oil temp get up to 235 or so (stock oil cooler) and then the session ended. Got back and saw my oil was pretty low - I had just changed the oil and put 4 quarts in yesterday.

We put some more oil in and while driving home, oil temp wanted to stay high... Usually on highway I'm high 180s to 190s, but first leaving, it got up to 220 and then on highway I was going 55 in the right lane at 3k rpm and it wouldn't go below 205. I stopped at Autozone and bought some more oil to add and made sure it was at a good level and it still didn't want to come down, 210-215 at highway speeds and about 3700 rpm.

I didn't notice any major leaks on the engine, a little bit on the floor after i parked it for a while, however nothing significant. I did a compression test for whatever good it would be and 1, 3 and 4 were normal at 150 (I have 8.5:1 pistons and those are the numbers I've always gotten), and #2 was 146 dry, well within limits. Wet difference was exactly the same for all pistons. PCV valve wasn't dripping with oil, I could replace it just to be sure. But I'm trying to figure out what to check next.

What would cause my motor to burn a couple quarts of oil and keep my temps so high? I never noticed any smoke behind me, none at start, none during the runs. No symptoms other than the gauge telling me temps are getting high and staying high.

Motor has less than 1,000 miles on it, plugged oil squirters (wiseco pistons, per the thread), build bottom, BP4W head with heavy springs, squaretop, MS3X, ID1000, BE oil pump, running 20W-50 synthetic (is it okay to switch brands because I just used what I could find in the store?).

Roast away [my oil]

So I checked under the car and around the engine today, definitely signs of oil leakage, but nothing that seems significant enough to cause me to lose that much oil that fast.

I drove the car around today for 10 minutes and the oil temp came up QUICK, just driving normally and it was at 200F by the time I got home, which is not normal for that kind of driving with this car. Watching for smoke, none to be had.

Could the issue be my OEM oil cooler?

A broken ring or ringland will produce these symptoms. Is your oil getting black rapidly?

I threw in new oil just to see if that would do anything, temperatures were normal again. I don't know if it was just me running the car really hard that burnt the oil that fast, car felt normal and no issues driving

Are you running rich? Maybe you are fuel-contaminating your oil.

I don't believe I'm running that rich, i can take a log and check my afrs. I recently swapped in a squaretop and retuned my VE table and things leaned out a ton, i was definitely running rich before for some reason, but at least in my idle cells I have my AFRs around 12.5

12.5 is kinda rich for idle. I'm at 14.0 at the richest.
