Thoughts and opinions...oil burning
Ok to start off Compression numbers on a warmed up motor are
1 - 180 2 - 180 3 -165 4 - 175
Leakdown is
1 - 7% 2 - 7% 3 - 15% 4 - 9%
I am getting a cloud of burning oil at occasional idle, and at high rpm when I lift off the throttle then go back into throttle. At WOT I do not get any blue smoke at all. Startup on a cold motor I do not get any smoke.
The smoke is coming preturbo so I have ruled out the turbo.
Thoughts or ideas? Im not real sure where to start Ive been trying to read up and determine the best course of action. Ive been leaning towards valve seals and guides and hoping its not a ring problem.
All info is greatly appreciated.

Do both a wet and dry compression test. Wet being after dropping about a spoonful of oil in the cylinder. If one compression number comes up significantly when wet as compared to dry, it's rings on that cylinder.
Also, where was the air leaking during the leakdown test? Out the exhaust? intake? PCV?
