Day Custom Engines in Dallas can do it. They're affordable and good guys too.

I think Emilio uses Keegan engineering for some of his engines work but I dont know if they do the heads as well.
Rebello racing certainly does head porting but I don't know if they have a cnc program for miata heads
Portflow design might be ok.

There is a shop north of Atlanta called Sunbelt Performance that does TONS of spec-Miata stuff as well as some other serious engine builds.

Is there a reason you prefer a cnc port job? Usually done for consistancy for mass produced products, and does not neccessarily mean the highest flowing, best performing head.

What you really need to know is if they have the ability to flow test or not. Who cares if it is cnc'd. If they know what they are doing, it will make power. Look for someone who has done multiple heads of your type, or has done heads for race winning teams.

I had my head done by Rebello.

I dont really care if its CNC or hand ported, I was just seeing how much they wanted if there was someone doing CNC

Price of porting is like anything else, you pay for the amount of work the shop puts into it. If you get a basic clean up job and you dissassemble and assemble the head yourself, it is pretty inexpensive.

If you have them do all of the assembly work, exotic shaping, and high end components, it will get very expensive. However, you want to do the amount of work that combines well with other mods you do. Doing high dollar head work, and running stock cams and port matched stock manifold will net you very little gains. Doing exotic port work with other exotic mods will net you lots of power.

In other words, other peoples before and after dyno numbers on port work is pretty much useless information on determining what kind of gains you will get from your setup. It is probably not available anyways.

Hope that info helps.

If you would like give us a call you got the hook up already being a member of Miataturbo.com We have multiple heads in right now for port work. One of the heads is a RP stage 2 and the other is a RP stage 4. We even offer core exchanges if your your looking for zero down time with your car.

CNC heads are finished by hand anyways, so you might as well get the personal touch and attention through the entire process.

I know Jim Stewart ported a 1.6l head for STS (scca - original Miata specs) and the engine dynoed at close to 135hp at the wheels, this is with only head porting, intake and exhaust.
