Default Turbo Exhaust

I am about to order a MSPNP from BEGI, and are looking at the BEGI exhaust at the same time.

Does anyone know how the Begi 2.5" and 3" turbo catback sounds? To much noise?

Are there any better alternatives?

It's ungodly loud. You'll be waking up dead people at night and every cop in town will know you by name. You should leave your exhaust stock.

Not that loud at all. Go for it.

The only legitimate excuse for using a 2.5" exhaust over a 3" exhaust is "I was given the 2.5" exhaust for free."

IIRC, the BEGi exhausts are done by Jason @ Enthuza, and his stuff is highly recommended.

And yes, 3".

thanks!
Just another question,

Begi are selling two types of 3" exhaust.
One for the 1.8 and one for the 1.6.. What is the difference?

The reason why I am asking is because I have the Euro 1.6 1996 model that have got the 1.8 rear end....

So it is not always straight forward to order parts from the US

The nice thing about ordering stuff from Enthuza is that he can customize it if needed! Really, All I need to know is the flange that you have on the downpipe now. We either have to match that flange, or replace it if you want to go 3". If I remember correctly, you should use a 1.8L exhaust system. The only thing different for the 1.6L is the exhaust manifold.

Does anyone know if the 3" exhaust will fit on a 2.5" cat made by turbotony? Or are the flange on the 3" to big?

3 will fit a 2.5"

But just go 3 all the way, once you get to the cat just buy a couple for bends at take it to a shop...

Everything 3" is the way to go. I wish I did it the first time around.
