Awesome! Sounds amazing, and makes me consider this kit even more!

Only just realised there's now a kit available. It's been 6 months since researching j series in miatas. Hopefully puts down some decent numbers in a months time!

Your swap is probably better than the kit. The kit looks like it was made with beer cans, a stick welder, and photoshop.

"kit" and "available" are not the words I'd use.

I have uploaded my raw camera footage onto photo bucket. 2 folders, Canon camera and iphone photos. Heres a couple, If you want to see more there about 800 photos all up, start with the iphone folder and sort it by "oldest first"

Enjoy.

Nice man.
I thought Hondas were fairly easily flash tunable. How come megasquirt? Output for gauges?

Wiring a megasquirt is pretty easy as well. 1 day of wiring and done, tuning is a lot quicker when you have live feedback, also ability to datalog/outputs etc is nice as well

Awesome build! I went quickly through your iphone folder... please post a build thread with some explanations of what you were doing in those pictures. Some were pretty obvious, others not so much.

I am actually doing this project as part of my Mechanical engineering undergrad thesis, so might just post the report once I'm done, almost ready for dyno, sorted a few electrical issues over the weekend. Initially had plans for making a plenum and tuning the runner lengths but packaging it neatly is proving to be a challenge. Thinking Ill just use the standard manifold and make use of the bottom end power, probably benefit me for hill climbs etc anyway.

Very Nice! what is your thesis? I tried to find something miata related but would not have had any funding for the project if I did.
