What did you Torque your ARP Head Studs to?
It undoubtabley is an over torque problem. But the earlier sets of head studs we're going out with a recommended 80ft/lbs. They now say that's for 7/16 studs, we have 10mm studs afaik, and those instructions say 60ft/lbs.
That was several years ago and the instructions were 80#. I just use OEM washers as that is what the head was designed for. Not saying there is an issue with the ARP washers at 65# but I know for sure there isn't going to be one with the OEM's and They well spread the load out more on the boss.

There is a post somewhere that talks about how there was a guy at ARP who designed the studs in conjunction with FM and they used to have a 65ft/lb torque instruction. Said designer also apparently no longer works there and yadayada, someone else should link to it, I'm on mobile.
