Just wanted to share this with the NB and MSM crowd - Some great pictures from a customer install. Utilized the stock pipes with only a couple of silicone adapters - and obviously trimming the factory pipes down to allow for the substantially bigger core.

The install is similar for the NA guys.

 

Due to popular demand we've started offering our intercoolers in black. Choose the color option from the drop down menu during checkout.

 

Curious, why are there holes in the corners of the end tanks? Can't say I've seen that before.

Well, now i want one. What is the black coating? Just black paint, or something more durable?

 

Imma gonna need proof that these don't go into the end tank. My brain doesn't comprehend.

 

The black one looks amazing

 

Prepped and sprayed with a production automotive gun. First etching primer (for properly bonding to aluminum) and then a durable semi-flat paint that's formulated for heat dissipation.

 

Glad I'm not the only one then.

 

Like all the air would just leak out the holes??

You guys really think that?

 

Mine has the holes in the endtanks, they go straight through to the other side of the IC. There are no leaks.
