I'm definitely a Turbosmart "fanboi", not because I'm an Aussie - they just make great products so here's my shameless and unaffiliated "plug" for some of their stuff:

I have an EFR6258 turbo from Full-Race which came with a Full-Race aluminium BOV plate to replace the dinky plastic one. It's definitely better but the BOV assembly is still pretty flimsy; here's the Turbosmart version on the left compared to the Full-Race+EFR BOV:



I also have the Turbosmart EFR6258 wastegate, along with a selection of internal springs so that I can tweak it later on. Here's how they look on the turbo:


And installed (note that I've deleted the P/S and have a NitroDann low-mount manifold+exhaust):


Note: The EFR6258's EBC solenoid could not remain on the turbo housing due to the clocking of the intercooler pipe so was relocated to the factory boost solenoid location; the boost source now comes prior to entry to the throttle body.

 

Are you guys able to get replacement parts from TurboSmart? I need a replacement 34mm fitting for a Kompact Dual-Port Plumb back.

I just want to chime in and profess my unabashed fanboi-ism for Turbosmart products.

I was converted when my Tial 38mm gate was stolen off of my daily driver. I grabbed a Turbosmart locally because it was available and my cheapest option to get on the road quickly.

I was completely unprepared for the difference in response and control. Even sounded better, somehow.

Turbosmart fanboi for life.

 

Yeah, not sure what it is about Turbosmart but they just seem to make really solid products. Everyone I've asked about them absolutely loves them. I've got an IWG75 on the shelf as well

 

I have the same dual port Kompact but set up VTA. Very nice piece.
