Default 99 NB GM IAT Sensor Installation

I am installing the GM IAT sensor in the next couple weeks, I already have the wideband wired up ready to be connected to the megasquirt when it arrives. Last thing to do is wire up the GM Iat sensor but I am not 100% sure. I know the 99 NB has a MAF and an IAT sensor from stock, I am not sure how many wires the MAF has going to it I have not checked but I know the IAT sensor has 2 wires going to it, can I just chop the 2 wires going to the stock IAT and just solder the GM sensors two wires to them and remove the MAF and tape up the plug for the MAF since I will not be needing it? This questions has probably been asked but hoping someone can clear it up.

Yes, remove stock IAT, splice in the GM unit.

Can just splice into the same wires as factory unit.
