The QuickJack is now available from Flyin' Miata - and to celebrate the Rolex 24 at Daytona, we've arranged a special discount. Until the end of January, we can sell them for $979 - that's 18% off the list price. Free shipping, too! This is an offer that's exclusive to Flyin' Miata.

So, what is the QuickJack? It's a portable hydraulic lift that's perfect for Miatas. It's lifts the car high enough to swap a transmission or do suspension work. It locks into place with one of two heights and is more stable than jackstands. You can get the car up in the air quickly and easily with just one person in about a minute using the 110v AC power unit. According to the specs, the 12v DC power unit should lift it even faster, but we'll confirm that when we get to test it. A customer of ours has shown us a video that indicates it lifts about 1.5x faster.

The lifting units each weigh 45 lbs and all the hoses have quick disconnects, so it's really easy to stash away when you're not using it - either at home or at the track. 3500 lb lifting load.

nice!

I just saw these in one of "Tom's Turbo Garage" videos on youtube. Very handy.

Keith@FM 01-23-2015 03:25 PM

I'm never going to the track without it.

A tip: the 12v version lifts faster. So get that one plus a good jumper box, and you'll have a lift you can use everywhere AND a jumper box :D

This looks awesome! It has made the list of stuff to buy.

Stupid question. What are you suggesting running the 12V off of? The car?

What's the lowered/closed height? In other words, will it slide under a moderately slammed (tm) Miata? :)

Thanks! 3" is nice and compact.

Keith@FM 01-23-2015 04:37 PM

3.5" with the rubber pads in place, but you could probably shave them down a bit. There's a reason we used the Targa Miata in track mode for the video, that thing is a royal pain to get on a lift. But it was super easy with the QuickJack. Enough that I'm considering buying one to use at home.

As for the 12v source, it could run off the car. I'd leave it running and hook up straight to the battery, as it will pull 125A for about 30 seconds. Or run it off a jumper box or your tow vehicle.

I'm going to see if this thing will fit in the trunk of a Miata. I'm not sure it will.

Keith@FM 01-23-2015 05:27 PM

I was asked about using these in a narrow workspace. You can't drive over the lifting units directly, but you can straddle them. The jack has handles on the side to make this easy. The car in the video is running an FM Stage 2.5 kit with 175/65-14 snow tires.

Try to fit them in an NC trunk, as well. I could make an honest track car out of my NC, if I could take these with me.

Keith@FM 01-23-2015 10:40 PM

Well, they won't fit in an NA with the hardtop bolted on. They'll fit in, you just can't get them in. A soft top, you could lower the top, put them in the passenger's seat, then pop it back up when you're done. This is based on some experimentation in a dark parking lot, I may be able to figure a way when I can see what I'm doing.

I don't think they'll fit in an NC trunk. The trunk opening is narrow enough that the same problem would likely apply.

How about the BL5000? I need one of each.

Keith@FM 01-24-2015 01:23 AM

We will be adding the BL5000 to the product line. However, we were unable to arrange for exceptional pricing. It will be available at market price. We should have it listed early next week.
