    Glad you enjoyed it Tom

Seems like you are one of the few that have experience the hell that is undercoating removal. I may do it again if I ever reshell the car!...maybe...

Yeah, you still want to protect the metal and so as long as you are down to bare metal, no primer, you want to lay down in order

High build etching primer, this is a very good spot to get as much good protection as you can

High build Primer if you want to add another coat that is

Paint of your choice(I used epoxy)

Let that fully cure for 1-2 days based off humidity/temp(shouldn't be a problem as it is summer)

3M undercoating or as I did, truck bed liner then 3m coating(not necessary in my eyes but reflection is an evil mistress)

Let me know if you need any other help.

    Hi Jeff,

Your build is the most epic I've ever seen, so thorough and an inspiration.
I've got the underside on my MX5 to paint.

Could you let me know what paints you used in layers?
Between the bare metal through to the 3M rubber protection?

My car is currently bare metal, lots of wire wheel oin a drill!!!

    Thanks

    Tom
