Default Mixed News

Well, my car is finally back together, after it started leaking out the manifold a few weeks ago. I got a chance to get it all clean in the bay and mount my new overflow tank.
In other news, my dog of 14 years passed away this afternoon, and its hittin pretty hard. He's been my lil' brother since I was 7yrs. old. I had to come back to school last night and hoped he would be ok as he seemed to be a bit better, but he just couldn't hold on anymore.
Here are a few pictures of the bay, and one of the pup.

I is still one of the more pretty miata engine bays I've seen. Great work!

Sorry about the dog, my buddy lost BOTH of his dogs last month. One was from old age, the other was from some kind of neurological disease.

I would rather spend time with my dog, than most people I know. I'm going to miss him more than some faimly members when he goes. I hope the hurt heals soon.

Nice looking engine!

Glad to hear the car is put back together but sorry about the dog. I don't keep dogs any more after I lost my past two due to unforeseen circumstances.

Wow I jsut had to read this thread right before 2 tests. Now my eyes are tearing up. Loosing a dog is never an easy thing to take. I was heart broken when my dog passed away several years ago. I hope you feel better soon.

PS your engine bay looks amazing.

sorry about your dog, I fear that day...

Your engine bay looks really good minus that radiator, it's all discolored and brown and old.

Thanks guys, I am very proud of the bay, except for all the paint chips and ****.. Yea, the stock rad has seen better days. I need to go out and get a nice big PWR, as soon as I invest in one of those money trees.
On the subject of the pup, I am taking it alot better than I had expected. I haven't cried today and I'm hoping that it's going to start getting better from here. Thanks for your support guys!

Where's the fuel tank vent line running now? Just under the car? I'm looking at it thinking where's all the "stuff" lol. EGR and all that is gone I assume. What's the overflow tank for? A catch can?

Sorry to hear about Sniffles. Cute little pup.

Damn thats a shame...I had a dog that died when she was 16 years old...they had her when I was born and she died when I was....14? It real painful because it is like a member of the family :(.

On a good note, it is good to see your car back together.

EGR is def. gone! Im not sure on the fuel tank vent, where is it normally? The can is the new coolant overflow.

Sorry to hear about your little guy.

Your bay is looking fantastic! One of the cleaner ones out there for sure.

My condolences. Where did you hide the ignitor, and the other thingy that mounts onto that bracket with the ignitor?

That engine bay shows what can happen when you have mad fab skillz. Nice work.

Sorry about your dog. I lived long enough to bury three dogs, and two ferrets. Losing a pet never got any easier. I really miss every single one of them but I'm glad I had the time with them that I did. Now, I keep thinking of George Carlin every time I see a cute pup I want to take home.

you have put a lot of work into your engine, and it really shows. All you need now is one of those clear hoods.

Oh and turbored asked about the ignitor ... well i think the coilpack has the ignitor integrated on 1.8 models. The rest of the stuff and bracketryprobably was not needed anyway.
