Guy lurking here is a scammer
Hey guys just a heads up, i posted a WTB ad for a crank. Guy messaged me on here and gave me "his friends" email. Emailed the guy and he sent me photos of a crank. Reverse image search showed no results but it seemed fishy. I waited a week then sent him my # to finalize the deal. He texted me and I googled his number. Lo and behold hes been scamming people on multiple forums for years.
Just a heads up to anyone he used the name Tasha Holmes. His # is (334) 472-4768. I believe his real name is Brian, not 100% sure.

The Benm20357 one surprised me a bit.
That account was created last August, and then just sat totally idle with basically zero activity until this week.
I'm accustomed to seeing these messages from accounts which were just created that same day, but the fact that someone made this one six months ago, remembered it, and came back to it, suggests a very organized attacker.

Well, maybe one - it highlighted for newbies/trusting (naïve) souls the need to do due diligence when money is involved, even if it is not much money. Basically it is check join date (99% are within 24hrs of contact), and post history (usually nil now, as they make their approaches by PM rather than posting).
