Possibility of an NC-specific EcuFlash subforum?
Gents,
There's a guy who goes by Speeps over on M.net who, in his spare time, is fully decompiling the factory NC ECU. To facilitate, he's also written an application for reading the current ROM from the ECU and reflashing it (in whole ,or in partial blocks) all using the standard Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 device interface. He's also built most (not all yet, but very close) of the metadata definition files for the dozens of factory ECU models in the NC lineup. He's got a GitHub account setup, although he hasn't yet really publicized it. The goal is to continue using Tactrix EcuFlash as a free tuning utility, and help anyone with an NC get the tuning they deserve.
This means it's time to start having Real Conversations (TM) about self tuning these things without a god-awful expensive EcuTeK license, but having frank and open tuning conversations on M.Net is about as realistic as you already expect.
Any interest at all?

I've been tuning (other cars) with ecuflash for 12 years, definitely interested. If y'all get a good thread or threads going and there is the need for this, I'll see if we can make this happen. In the mean time feel free to use the general tuning section
This would have been nice to happen a year ago so I could have just used an NC ecu. I agree we should have this sub forum, soon the NC is going to be the power per dollar chassis to buy if it isnt already.
Open Flash Tablet has been available with Racerom or the NC cars for soemthing like 5+ years. You can buy a used one for $300 bucks and have a built-in datalogger as well.
This is big news?

Insofar as I'm aware, OFT dies not expose literally every map, table and value in the factory ROM. Also, a Tactrix open port cable is $160, and they provide ECU Flash for free. Speeps is also providing all the definitions and his RomDrop software for free.
Seems like OFT isn't as good.
