Unfortunately I may not be making it out this weekend. I am still stuck at work, and there is a very good chance that I will have to come into work tomorrow and Sunday to meet a big deadline for next week. All I can say right now is that management blows and doing documentation sucks major donkey dick.

I all seriousness do we need alternate food? We are brainstorming ideas of what to bring down. A side or two is in the works. We can bring down hand pattied burger stuffs if someone wants to bring fancy buns. Can't bring a grill, but figure one is there.

 

Talked to Steve earlier this evening, an alternate grill is in the works but I didn't hear if he was able to get it or not. Sounded like worst case scenario is the cooking will be done inside the house. He did say side dishes were still needed but everything else sounded pretty taken care of.

 

Wife made Tennessee Caviar - basically crack on chips

If there is a grocery store near by I can have the cook...I mean wife... pick out some stuff. Just need to know what we have to cook on. Trying to get there by 1pm. Bit of a drive.

 

I'm out now getting some basics: baked beans, creamed corn, and chips/salsa. Probably grab some large trash bags as I didn't see them mentioned and they're good to have. Canopy is packed too just in case.

 

Meat and buns are covered. But we may uncover them later if you know what I mean.

There are a couple of stores near.

It is surprisingly cool out.

Finally made it back to the house, unloaded the truck, and picked up the dogs. I am beat.

This gathering was one hell of a good time. I am so glad I got to meet everyone of you there. I hope that I get a chance to meet all of you at another gathering sometime.

Steve was an awesome host as usual. A great party. Lets start planning the next one.
