Is there any way to see where my props are coming from?
Now why would someone ding you for this post? That's missing the point of props in the first place.
It is not to express displeasure or disagreement with a post. It is to penalize those who troll, post drivel to get post count up (just to sell something) or the like.
Positives should be given for useful/helpful posts. You can't figure something out, and you come here to ask a question. Give props when someone gives you the answer; it's a way to say thanks. That makes them more likely to be helpful in the future.
