Can't help but notice that the number one fastest timeslip in the timeslip section is from an Acura. Isn't that just a little bit offensive in a Miata forum?

Can we please get rid of all cars in the timeslip section except for Miata's or cars with Miata based running gear?

If you don't like the fact that an acura has the best time, then why don't you take care of that for us?

 

I keep an eye on the competition at all times.

Some people work real hard to get their car to the number one spot. It would be real hard if it is clogged up by cars that we can not compete with. What if someone started posting times of their big block powered Pro Mod. Come on! That would be impossible to compete with. This forum is for fast Miatas; not Chevys, Fords, or Hondas.

You might not care, but I am not the first person to complain about this. It just makes sense for a better forum.

 

troy has a point what use is a miata site that lets itself get diluted by the **** for other cars. It is akin to having a how to tweak your vortech v8 with a 5/7 swap and make made power thread in the engine mods section. still an engine mod but totally useless to miata people.

 

if it does get cleaned up (which i'm not against) i would ask that you leave the FWD BP cars in there (like mine). sure its not a miata, but at least it shares the same powerplant.

 

There's a whopping 4 non-miata cars in the top 25, not including therieldeal's BP powered escort. Isn't it easy enough to just ignore them?

Sure I can ignore them, but it is just stupid to have non Miata based cars on a data base designed to compare Miatas. It makes it especially irritating when the fastest car is an Acura. It is like some ******* is crashing the party. Kick that ***** out.

I would agree that exceptions should be cars with Miata based engines, or Miatas with non Miata based engines.

 

Rather than getting rid of the non-Miatas (Which is a form of arrogant elitism), why don't you just compare yourself to the fastest "miata" on the board instead of the fastest "car". It's not like you have to sort through a ridiculous number of other cars to find Miatas. Having fast non-miatas will keep you humble - this isn't a bimmer forum.

And by the way, the #1 fastest car was by a guy that was trying to post ***** his count just to sell something in the classifieds. Mods caught on and reduced his post count. He is contributing nothing, and will likely never be here again. Yet he is in the number one spot. Blasphemy! Look for yourself.

 

We should also require a time slip to be posted.

 

What about Miatas with LS1s, or Locosts with Miata engines.

Just let it go.

HAHA, number 1 is my friend Adam... he joined up to sell some headlights and got e-thugged off of here pretty quick. Good guy and fast car though (timeslip was with boosted B-series, now has a Boosted K-series, it's retarded)
