On 12/5/12 I edited that post.
In one day I knew the game sucked. Was being developed poorly. And warned others to stay away from it.

**** that game.
On 12/4/12 I made a post about the game.

Spend some time playing Dirty Rally. Once you get good, it becomes a LOT more fun.
The amount of attention needed to play that game is unlike anything I've ever played before.

I much prefer AC over Project CARS.
I signed up for Project CARS very early on in development and got a copy of the game and 150% of my money back for being an investor or something, so that scores it a +1. It's a "pretty" game but the force feedback is so dull compared to AC.

No sim is, but Assetto is the best one out there atm as an all around package. iRacing is a close second, but that game is a completely different experience. AC is also being developed by a very small team, last I heard the staff was only 10 people.

Honestly, rFactor is better than anything being discussed in here. I've never played RF2, but I can only assume it's just as good or better than the first.
Edit*
Live for speed is also very good, maybe even better than rfactor.
I need to try AC to compare.

rfactor was good 10 years ago, not so good anymore. rFactor 2 is a bust, and that meh pricing model. AC appears to be the current standard, and is where the modding community shifted it's focus to after rfactor. rFactor 2 has been out for a few years, while the physics are excellent , everything else would lead you to believe it's only just been released. Lack of official content, aesthetically inferior, and uses directx 9? Really? Good luck with that.
AC's only been out for about a year, rFactor 2 has been out for 2 years. AC is a more well rounded product for the price atm. What made rfactor 1 so great has made AC great, excellent mod support / content.

Srsly. this is an assetto corsa thread, and you say RFactor is better than anything being discussed here, but you haven't tried AC?

I also said live for speed is good too and that game is old as dirt.
I'd much rather play that then some of the new games coming out calling themselves simulators.
