I am sad. MI2 was/is one of my most favourite games

 

Monkey island, Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, Full throttle, too many to list here. Damn.

 

Thought they were keeping the licensing, and having outside developers continue. Like SWTOR?

 

I was always found of the indiana jones games, but monkey island was the freaking best.

 

Hopes for an X-Wing and TIE Fighter remake gone...

Day of the Tentacle and the tie fighter games were some of my favorite childhood memories.

 

Not exactly what I'd call a 'bright side' but they did opensource the Jedi Outcast / Jedi Academy games as a result. Hopefully the FOSS community will do something fun with that.

 

Big companies... THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS! The company becomes an entity in itself and just devours everything. People that "run" the company lose control and it becomes a run away train. Wasn't sad to see the film side of Lucas go, but the game side, it's sad.

 

I wish DoubleFine would buy the rights to some of the older LA stuff like they did with Sam and Max to give us a glimmer of hope.
