Nope, once you're going slow enough to avoid the wall you're facing on the way in, you're just about going slow enough to stay on the pavement. And if you aren't, you shoot directly across the track to the other side and on to more dirt. Forza drags your car to near a dead stop once you're off track anyways.

Aaaand I had to give it a go. The game didn't stop me! At Sebring and Laguna cutting corners shaved almost 2 seconds. Not trying to post the ghetto video that I took.

Default Hood Rat.

My NASCAR powered CTS-V drift car. Sport tires and stock sizes with full everything else. Eyeballed the timeline...

Probably should have posted the Sebring video.

I'm going to assume game play will be very similar to F3, as it's only been 2 years since its release. At least I hope it's not too changed, because I loved F3 so much. I just want new cars and tracks, as well as slightly enhanced graphics and sounds.

One thing I REALLY hated about FM3 was the uncontrollable wheelspin that made some cars unusable, like high powered miatas. Also, the huge amount of power that you could give a car with some mods (25hp with an exhaust), while others didn't yield anything near the power they should have (25hp from a supercharger) got a little irritating.

I'm hoping FM4 clears that stuff up.

Hell yeah, I was really hoping to see Barber in either F3 or GT5, nope...

I'll take wheel spin in F3 over the super twitchy steering and harsh over-correction on nearly every car in GT5. Besides, the wheelspin was probably more correct than the faults with GT5. A high powered Miata on 225 tires will no doubt have traction issues all over the place. A little throttle trigger modulation goes a long way.

Pedals solve all wheel spin issues.

I'm considering some of those trigger extenders to make a longer sweep for the triggers, give more precise input. Wheel is not really an option for me right now, space issues. Though I really never had a complaint with the factory controller with F3 anyway...

I ordered a g27 wheel for iracing, I may or may not be getting this.

I wish the g27 worked with the 360, maybe I can find out a way to make it work.

There is no way for the G27 to work with Xbox.
To save some money, the Fanatec comes with an adapter so you can use the G27 wheels. http://www.fanatec.de/webshop/new_us...a88f4b3c66c16c

Here's the official Forza Motorsport 4 wheel : http://www.fanatec.de/webshop/new_us...a88f4b3c66c16c

Agreed, you could always just buy a steering wheel/pedal setup for forza. I bought mine for gt5 but it's still twitchy and the force feedback was brutal until I changed the settings.

I found one of the MS ones on craigslist for like $45. It's not perfect by any means but it makes it way more fun. Makes me want paddle shifters on my car, though. haha.

Gamers, Turn 10 Studios is about to have you say goodbye to your family and friends. Forza Motorsport 4 is nearly available for purchase, and the creative team has let slip a few goodies that will be included with the game. We've already heard about the involvement of Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson, and how the developers turn a real track into a virtual one. Today, however, we've learned that there's a whole lot more in store for us.

The game hits stores on October 11th, but XBox Live Gold members can grab a demo version starting on October 3rd. Everyone else needs to wait until the 7th for their shot at the demo. When the full version of the game hits a few days later, fresh downloadable content will be available.

Now, DLC will be offered throughout the game's life cycle. To make sure you have access to it as it becomes available, Forza 4 offers a season pass. Paying $29.99 ensures that you get access to all six of the soon-to-be-released content packs. Buying in bulk also saves you 30 percent over buying each pack individually. This plan also provides you with a bonus American Muscle car pack. It adds the 1965 Pontiac GTO, 1968 Pontiac Firebird, 1970 Buick GSX, 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee, 1966 Chevrolet Nova SS, 1969 Shelby GT500 428CJ, 1971 Plymouth GTX 426 Hemi, 1967 Dodge Coronet W023, 1968 Dodge Dart HEMI Super Stock and 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt to your list of playable vehicles.

Turn 10 has gone to great lengths to include famous race tracks from around the world, and has announced that the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the latest to be added to the game. Click past the jump for the full skinny from Turn 10.

Also, be sure to check back next week when we share our thoughts on the game... oh, we didn't tell you? We've already gotten to play it. Stay tuned!

Jeff's vid sure makes it look like the tire physics are better. You can slide the car without totally throwing away all momentum.
