Random gaming thread (anything for gaming)
We've been hooked on No Mans Sky lately. Seems like they've made some pretty big improvements over the past few years compared to the reviews/gripes from launch. I really wish at least one developer would manage to get terraforming right. Doesn't seem to matter what game it is, I either end up having to excavate my base out of the side of a damn mountain because the terrain respawns, or it's so poorly optimized that the frame rate drops are insane.

I heard good reviews about state of decay 2 but after what the developers did with State and Decay 1, i'm definitely not supporting them. They forced an update that forces you to buy the new dlc or you cant play the game you purchased. They nearly got kicked off of steam for that nonsense.

Sooo i've been eyeing some rumblers for my sim rig.. Finally decided to pull the trigger.

This one is in the back rest. I will be moving this further up. Currently jiggles the kidneys which is a no go.

This is the butt shaker.

The amp i'm using.. 2x50 but in reality it's more like 2x30watt which is more than enough.

Wired up.

I'm using Simhub for telemetry and signal. Currently I have it configured for ABS locking, tire slips, track details and so on. Simhub activates the rumblers based on telemetry, not sound even though it uses a sound amp.
After driving for about 3 hours i like it. Just as i said gotta move the one in the back up a little bit since currently it rumbles right on the kidneys and will knock all the stones loose.

I've had my Steam Deck for 3 weeks now. At first i was kinda "meh" with it since i'm a mouse and keyboard guy. But once i got used to the controller again, i absolutely fell in love with it. It makes going on these long cross country trips a little more relaxing. I've gotten back into platformer games and i'm having so much fun.
If you're on the fence about getting one, don't be. If you got the time away from your PC, get it. It's worth the price IMO.

I played the **** out of that game. Downloaded extra cars from sketchy sites on the internet and everything. It was a simpler time, and I was in elementary school lol.
One was a monster truck that could go over 250mph but could turn hardly at all. Had to download across three different floppy disks, which took forever to download over dial-up.
