Has anyone ever taken off their big 01+ side skirts and put on a 99-00 small skirt? Is this a direct swap, or will I need to make new holes?

You will need new holes. You will have holes in the rear quarter panels from the mounts that hold the large ones on. The only holes that are the same are the ones on the borrom of the rocker panel.

Are the holes in the rear quarter panel going to be visible, or are they on the lip in the wheel well?

the 99 had side skirts??? I've only seen 01_ with side skirts

Well, the ones on the bottom are all tree clips, the three under the door are holding a bracket on that the skirt rests in and the holes on the front and rear wheel-wells are just clips that go over existing holes (are are the only bolts- 8mm). On the large skirts, the ones by the front and rear of the door are a plastic velcro-ish clip. It's easier to go from small to large or from nothing to either...but going from large to small leaves those two holes exposed and needing to be filled...or going from skirts to no skirts will leave the three under the door exposed. All the yellow dots/mounts are NOT visible once the skirts are removed.

the two specific clips on the LARGE skirts are these 2-piece clips that look like a regular push clip (base) but with a solid flat top and a velcro-like surface. The other side also has a velcro-like surface on one side and adhesive o nthe other. This bonds the skirt to the body.



The three holding the bracket under the door are like this (large and small)
