Peak torque at 7k rpm? Baller

stoves Dec 3, 2015 07:33 PM

527 hp and 386 ft-lbs.

holy shit. Spools so late though.

Itty Dec 3, 2015 07:53 PM

Until 4000 rpm it's like driving a normal Miata and then it turns into a jet car.

wannafbody Dec 3, 2015 08:11 PM

How many pounds of boost?

MotoCARR Dec 3, 2015 08:40 PM

Crazy lol

18psi Dec 3, 2015 08:53 PM

nice s2000

Chooofoojoo Dec 3, 2015 09:23 PM

Pretty sure that's what Fae's powerband was. Except out of a shittier motor.

Nothing until 7k, ALLOFIT, Shift.

EricJ Dec 3, 2015 09:56 PM

Hmm, aren't those NB taillights?

deezums Dec 3, 2015 10:08 PM

Reverant doesn't live in the USA, there were 1.6 NB everywhere else.

Isn't that 386 HP at 5250 rpm?

dasting Dec 3, 2015 11:20 PM

29psi. We could go as high as 35psi, but we got the power/torque we wanted anyway at 29.

Wow, crazy. Have you got a build thread on the car? I would love to see how you are going to handle the drivetrain at that power.

Reverant Dec 4, 2015 07:21 AM

RX-7 FD gearbox, Supra Mk3 diff, custom axles. Seems to be holding up so far.

Braineack Dec 4, 2015 07:45 AM

Now imagine the same on a 1.8L...

don't jelly.

Reverant Dec 4, 2015 08:00 AM

More torque, less revs, but cool story bro. :)

Braineack Dec 4, 2015 08:17 AM

did you just play the rev card?

I don't think so. Peak torque doesn't occur until well after 5250 rpm, so the tq and hp cross over will be whatever it is at 5250. Peak tq hits at 6762 rpm (386 ftlbs) but at 5250 it looks more like 260ish Nm (~190 ftlbs) and Cv is at 190-200 (~190 hp).
