is 10psi from an mp62 more stress than say 10psi from a gt28rs?

Yeah, ya sure do
While an MP62 blower putting down ~250rwhp on a Miata may require ~30hp to turn at redline, don't for a minute think the turbo doesn't require energy to spin. The turbo is a big plug in the exhaust track, and, as such, saps heat and energy out of the engine in order to spin. In fact, Miatas with superchargers are able to run more timing advance than turbocharged engines because of better exhaust scavenging and flow.
In a thread about this very subject on the other forum, I believe someone calculated that, on two identically powerful engines (say, 225rwhp), the supercharger might be leaving ~30hp on the table to turn its rotors while a GT2560 turbo might be leaving 15-20hp on the table. And the smaller the turbo, the more timing advance you'll have to make do without. On top of all that, the MP62 is capable of flowing more air than the GT2560, although, because of the decreased efficiency at the high blower speeds required to make that much boost on our small engines, you rarely hear of Miatas making more than ~250rwhp with the MP62 (RJW made ~340rwhp with his, which is about the limit on the blower).
