Miata Recall

Hmmm.....was this done at the dealership???

 

I replaced the entire injector harness today and after taking it out and looking at it, can this damage really be from that EGR tube that sits 3.5" away from this harness and 4" from the injector? I also have found the temperature sensor on the back of the head and the O2 harness is also looking a little melted.

I read up on the recall and if it was done the car should have had a sticker in the door, but that recall was in 1998 and this car is a 2000???

Anyone else have there EGR tube burn up stuff? Did it look like this or was this a under hood fire from the previous owner?

Is there some sort of restriction in the tube that could cause it to heat up more than normal?

 

That recall was supposed to be done at the dealership before any of the cars made it out. First case ive actually seen it on the road though.
