Yeah if it is just a Run of the mill sr29 swap it has maybe 200-240whp, i dunno why that would be considered mean by most of us.

i just love the sr20 motor...my brother got one in his 510 upboost and chipped ecu runs 10s in the 1/4

 

I really dislike the sr20

 

could have as well swapped something better... like rb26dett w/ 5 speed or something... i wouldnt get it. too "jdm"

I'm sorry, but SR20 FTL.

From what I've seen out of the BP1.8 its every bit as good as an SR20. Easier to find cheap parts for, millions of interchange, don't have to special order crap, and it'll make the same freakin power stock longblock boosted! I looked at an SR20 when I had my 240sx, decided it was a huge waste of money and sold the whole project.

i loved my sr20... never would put it in a miata, but it is a GREAT motor. may not be worth the money, but i had a high millage ka that i just didnt like, lol.

 

I love boosted KA's. Made 300+whp reliably with mine.
