It either goes through the filter then the oil cooler, or cooler then filter. Somethings wrong with your math if you say it'll have substantial pressure loss because... I don't.

You track the car too, right?

Eh, it was Gates' math. I was hoping to get an ME to check my assumptions, but none did. I believe the nice unit I got from FM a while back has -8, and I'll be using that, so I'll call -8 good enough, for me at least.

Yes, but I've only been to one track day with the oil cooler, and it was 110*F that day, and I was having coolant over heating problems (boiling water). So I wasn't really able to concentrate a lot on the pressure/temperature gauges as much I would've liked. I did keep my eye on the temp when I could and was pleased with the results, it was the exact same temp as all the other pre-oil cooler track days I'd been at, but this was the hottest by more than 20* AND my rushed mounting job didn't have the face of it exposed to air. So all those pressure figures are from the street. If you look at the oil filter, the 8 lines aren't much smaller (if at all, IIRC) than the tube it screws into. Then again that difference could be the difference between #8 and #10, I'm not looking at it right now obviously. I'm at my computer. Typing.

I meant to say all this in my first post, but with a long post on an iPhone, by the time you finish typing you forgot what you were originally planning on saying, oh well.

Edit: you can actually barely see it in my sig pic, the hole between the parking lights exposes the "bottom" of the oil cooler.

I took my oil cooler apart last weekend to make sure it was happy inside and noticed that only 2 ports let oil in and out, and they're both smaller than #8 orifices. I'm going to try the #8 lines then reevaluate because it will cost me a minimum of $120 in parts for #10 lines, and more for welding.

any thoughts on this?

#8 seems to be the general consensus.

i had just gone in for a normal pee, but the way you pounded, and pounded, and pounded on the door screaming "out! i have diarrhea! out! for the love of god come out, its coming out of my butt, pleeeeease!!!" got me so turned on that i got an erection. then, because your kicking started splintering the door, i quickly yanked up my zipper and caught my ***** up in the process. i'm sorry again for the screaming as you pushed me down and sat down with the door hanging off it's hinges, but the look of sheer horror and embarrassment we shared in front of the staff and other patrons looking on before you ran out the back door and climbed over the fence has captured my heart. please describe what i was wearing so i know its you.
